Tossa de Mar is the only fortified medieval village still standing on the coast of Costa Brava dating back to the 13th and 14th century. Not only is it still standing, but it’s beautiful intact. You can walk the entire wall, look over the steeps cliffs, see the lighthouse, and climb the cobblestone streets but make sure that you also venture outside of the walled city to get views of the beautiful beaches with the medieval backdrop.
